Best Friends in Literature

wattpad:

Best Friends. Everybody’s got one. You have one, I have one, even Barney has a whole crew of little kid best friends running around. We all need a best friend to get through the trials and tribulations of everyday life, regardless of whether we’re human or a big giant purple dinosaur. When we read stories about two best friends overcoming differences or banding together to defeat something bigger than either one of them, it warms our heart a little bit. In the Harry Potter series, Harry was lucky enough to not have just one, but two best friends who would go to the ends of the earth and back for him (and did). We say the more the merrier.

It’s not often people come across somebody who gets along with them on the levels of the best friend. Which is why, for this Wattpad Wednesday, our theme is literary best friends. You know, the ones you read about and wished you had, until you realized your bestie was pretty awesome as well? So, friends, without further adieu, our top 5 literary bestfriendships:

Watt's Up: 7 Ways To Use Tumblr to Its Crazy Awesome Fullest »

wattpad:

Tumblr has been in the social media game since 2007, but it’s really come into its own recently. (Read: I’ve just discovered how awesome it is and have abandoned Facebook because of it.) Because of its makeup, users have found a lot of different idiosyncratic uses for the site. With that in…

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures- here you go. This is just a little somethin’ somethin’ I saw on the net. It’s cute- for me. I have a weird sense of color.

Today’s Agenda - featuring The Potter Games

Honestly- I didn’t think I would make a Tumblr account just for the sheer fun-ness of it, but here I am.

Okay, so I was online on Wattpad for the whole day (as MusicRocks129). TaylorWeeksy’s online since I logged in. She’s a great writer- Fire and Water is great, so far.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with Harry Potter. Harry Potter this and Harry Potter that- hell, even when I started reading Wattpad’s blog- Watt’s Up- I was seeking Harry Potter! *sigh* I really have a tendency to get addicted to things…

Also, I played The Potter Games, just finished actually. My tribute was Draco Malfoy, and- OMG- I killed McLaggen, Crabbe, Parkinson, and Harry Potter! (Goyle, Granger and Weasley (Ron) are somewhere in there, too…) At the end, I was focused basically on killing ‘Saint Potter’, maybe because I was focused on winning.

I feel horrible, actually… well, not much, considering that I didn’t really kill anyone in real life.

And HERE is my journey on The Potter Games:

At first, I chose Hermione- mainly because she had a lot of strengths- then I quickly changed character after the second question. Playing as Draco proved harder than I deemed it would be- making choices, playing leader, spying on Granger. Gah! Good thing I made the right choices. First, Mr. Malfoy here ignored the Cornucopia, running straight to the forest with Crabbe and Goyle. They find a stream somewhere in the midst of the large trees- oh, and mist, too.

Then, when they see Creepy Creevy’s corpse hanging on the tree, they run away from the stream- Goyle’s massive foot effectively crushing Draco’s newfound wand. (Hawthorn- less springy, longer, and has a different core)

Later on, they eventually go back to the Devil’s Snare-covered stream. While they’re sleeping, Parkinson (I don’t know how she did it, or even survived the Werewolves) found them, and later on Draco went into the forest and left them there.

He found Granger, who he followed back to their camp, where she, Ron and Harry had a stock of food in a cave. He goes back eventually, only for Nagini, Voldie’s wretched snake, to find them. Of course, being a Slytherin, he saves himself first. Goyle somehow survives, and goes to the Cornucopia. (Yes, I know… in my own weird way…) He somehow stumbles across McLaggen, who killed Fleur Delacour, and Draco kills him using Fleur’s wand. (Rosewood, Veela Hair Core)

Then, he received a package from Snivellus. Snape sent Draco a Firebolt, which I’m not sure he used. While he’s walking west (or was it east…), he found a unicorn, which I, of course, chose to ignore. Younger unicorn’s prefer the touch of a Woman, if I’m not mistaken… Anyways, he sets up camp somewhere in the forest, then Granger stumbled across him while he’s up in the tree. The rest after that is somewhat of a blur (Mainly because I’m excited of all the action), then before I knew it, Draco pushed Harry off a cliff and he officially won the Hunger Games. (With my help)

There’s a picture- to prove that I, indeed, did all of this…
